If we were fully in school, I set up an actual town in my classroom for you that you would travel through, take notes, apply to a project, and then we celebrate, but times are different this year. Instead, I made you this! You will use all this info to apply to what project you chose!

The fall of the Roman Empire marks the beginning of the Middle Ages. Historians divide this time into three time periods. The Early Middle Ages began with the fall of Rome. The Roman Empire had unified much of Europe for about 500 years. After the Empire collapsed, life was dangerous and difficult in Western Europe and people simply had to work hard to sustain their lives. Between working hard, trying to survive and protect themselves from invaders, FEUDALISM (FEUDAL LAND ISM) started to develop.
